Apartment Services

Front-Desk Services
DeRoy, Chatsworth Towers and University Tower have 24-hour staffed reception desks located on the first floor. Residents of Sherbrooke Apartments use the front desk at University Tower Apartments. The front-desk staff answers the telephone, distributes mail, provides building information, checks in guests/visitors and takes maintenance requests. The desk receptionist will ask you to show your OneCard and your guests valid picture I.D. as you enter the building.

Laundry Facilities
DeRoy has laundry facilities located on each floor, University Tower has facilities on the first floor, and Chatsworth Towers, as well as, Sherbrooke have facilities in the basement. Washers and dryers operated via OneCard. Value may be added to the card at the value stations located in the lobby of each building. Sherbrooke residents use the value station located at University Tower.

Lockouts – If you are locked out of your room, the front desk can assist you. A $20 service fee will be assessed for each lockout. To avoid lockout charges altogether, be sure to always take your key with you whenever you leave your apartment. This is especially true if you live in a building with automatic door closers, doors that lock without a key when closed or if you have roommates.

Repairs and Maintenance
The maintenance staff makes necessary repairs and responds to any emergencies that occur in our facilities. If your apartment requires repair, please complete a maintenance request form available from your front desk staff. A building staff member will then visit your room to complete the necessary work. Emergencies, such as water leaks, toilet stoppages, etc. should be reported immediately to the front-desk staff to avoid damage charges.

Keys/Lockouts
Residents receive their apartment keys at move-in – one key per lessee. Residents who lose their apartment/mailbox keys should immediately report the loss to the front desk or apartment community director. Lost or stolen keys will necessitate a lock change and a replacement charge will be assessed. Residents whose key is lost are responsible for any and all charges including replacement keys for roommate(s).

Lockouts – If you are locked out of your room, the front desk can assist you. A $15 service fee will be assessed for each lockout. To avoid lockout charges altogether, be sure to always take your key with you whenever you leave your apartment. This is especially true if you live in a building with automatic door closers, doors that lock without a key when closed or if you have roommates.
