Opened in 2003, Leon H. Atchison Hall provides housing for freshmen and upperclass students. In addition, Leon H. Atchison Hall houses the following special interest communities.
- Honors Community – A community reserved for residents who are admitted into the Wayne State University Irvin D. Reid Honors College. (There are typically 2-3 floors of Honors students per year.)
