Opened in 2002, Yousif B. Ghafari Hall provides housing for freshmen and upperclass students. In addition, Ghafari Hall houses the following special interest communities.

• Community of Scholars – A community in which students who receive Wayne State academic scholarships can live together
• All female floor – for women who want to live in a single gender environment.
