How to complete an application

  1. Go to Self-Service Portal and log into your account.
  2. Select Apply for Housing
    1. You will see the various different housing applications that you're eligible to complete.
  3. Select the application you want to complete.
  4. Review the 2019-20 License Agreement terms. 
    1. Carefully review this information as it is a legally binding contract between you and the university that you sign during the application.
    2. This agreement covers the housing term, occupancy dates, requirements, meal plans, costs and much more!
  5. To sign the license agreement, use your mouse and hold the right button down while you sign your legal name.
  6. Answer each application question. 
    1. Your response to some questions may prompt you to answer additional questions.  Please provide the requested additional information.
    2. Although you will be selecting your own room, we still need to collect building preferences.  This information will only be used if needed.
  7. Enter your permanent address and emergency contact information.  Ensure that you save each address and contact before moving on.
  8. You will then be taken to the payment page.  Submit the non-refundable $125 application fee.
    1. Your application is not complete until the payment has been submitted.
    2. On your bank statement, the application fee will be a charge from Corvias, the Wayne State Housing Partner.
  9. After your payment is submitted, your application is complete! You will receive a confirmation email sent to your Wayne State email account.
