Scholarships
Living on campus allows students to fully immerse themselves in the Wayne State experience and build friendships that last a lifetime. This opportunity should be accessible regardless of economic factors, which is why the university offers a variety of need-based housing scholarships, including one specifically for First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) students and the Corvias Scholar award, offered in partnership with local company Corvias to first-year students living in the Chatsworth Suites.
In an effort to remove barriers for students who wish to live on campus in the First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) community, the Office of Housing & Residential Life is offering a limited number of need-based scholarships. If you are a first-year student living on campus and have a confirmed room assignment in FYRE in Chatsworth Suites, you will automatically be considered for this award. Awards will be made on a rolling basis starting on June 1.
Corvias Scholar
The Corvias Scholar award; is also a need-based scholarship available to students during their first year of living in the Chatsworth Suites. To be eligible for consideration as a Corvias Scholar, students must have a 3.0 GPA and apply by April 1.
