Conquer your first year as a Warrior! Bridge the gap between high school and college with the power of the First Year Residential Experience, a program designed for first-year success.
WHAT IS FYRE?
The First Year Residential Experience (FYRE) is an exclusive community of students, peer leaders, faculty and staff dedicated to supporting you on a greater level than what you'd experience as a commuter student. Living on campus is a strategic component for higher academic achievement, especially during your inaugural year.
of our first-year students report that living on campus positively impacted their decision to return the following year.
HERE'S WHAT TO EXPECT
When you call campus home, you'll be steps away from classes, resources, labs and libraries. You'll live in historic Midtown Detroit, near museums, theatres, galleries and cultural attractions. In your building and campuswide, fun social events will be planned for you, and long-lasting friendships will develop as you navigate your first year alongside fellow residents.
THE BENEFITS OF FYRE
Activities and events in your building will engage you, inspire you and help build your social network. Plan to learn and have fun while building connections.
