Costs

The housing cost for the 2025-26 academic year will be available in mid-April. Please check back then.

The Office of Housing and Residential Life works hard to keep our rates at an affordable level. Lock in your campus living experience today!

  • Residence hall rates (Chatsworth Suites, Ghafari, Atchison, Towers Residential Suites, The Thompson) and Furnished Apartments (Anthony Wayne Drive) are charged "per person."

  • Unfurnished apartment rates (University Tower Apartments) are charged "per unit" and divided by the total number of assigned occupants.

Students must be of junior standing or higher, or 20 years or older to rent unfurnished apartments. Students who live in an apartment do not have to purchase a meal plan. Utilities such as cable, internet, electricity, water, and waste collection are included in the cost of apartments at Wayne State University.
