Residence hall rates (Chatsworth Suites, Ghafari, Atchison, Towers Residential Suites, The Thompson) and Furnished Apartments (Anthony Wayne Drive) are charged "per person."
- Unfurnished apartment rates (University Tower Apartments) are charged "per unit" and divided by the total number of assigned occupants.
Students must be of junior standing or higher, or 20 years or older to rent unfurnished apartments. Students who live in an apartment do not have to purchase a meal plan. Utilities such as cable, internet, electricity, water, and waste collection are included in the cost of apartments at Wayne State University.
